JEANNE MCCANN, DIGITAL DIRECTOR

Jeanne has a unique mix of experience in traditional and digital media, journalism, and public affairs. Jeanne spent 10 years as vice president of digital strategies at The Hatcher Group, a communications firm with offices in Baltimore, Bethesda, and Annapolis, working exclusively with foundations, nonprofits, and government agencies. She managed all aspects of strategic digital communications and planning, including social media, digital advertising, content management, e-mail and marketing campaigns, and website redevelopments for a wide range of clients, including the Common Cause Maryland, Fair Farms, Maryland Pesticide Network, Maryland Clean Agriculture Coalition, National College Access Network, and Working Families Success Network, among others.

Prior to The Hatcher Group, Jeanne spent 13 years managing online strategy and operations for EdWeek.org, the digital presence for Education Week newspaper. She oversaw the transition of its website from a weekly to a daily publication, launched numerous e-newsletters, established blogs and social media as news delivery channels, and helped implement digital advertising.
